In this 5-day course…
…learn about pilot training and the basics of gliding on the Wasserkuppe.
With your flight instructor you will take off on the Mountain of the Aviators in a two-seater glider by winch tow for your first training flights.
In 2026 we will also offer a diverse Course and training program for motor and glider flying – for beginners and advanced pilots. Our experienced flight instructors will accompany you on your path to becoming a pilot. Introductory flights and charter flights complement the offerings.

Give away a voucher that can be used for a flight as a passenger Motorized flight (135 €), in the Glider (€120) or with the Motor sailor (80 €) can be redeemed. It is suitable for a complete trial day in motor or gliding Voucher worth €250.

Redemption for sightseeing flights:
Redeeming the voucher: The recipient simply comes to the airport on the Wasserkuppe on a nice day (no rain, no storm) without prior notice and takes off with an experienced pilot. Since a plane cannot always be available immediately, you should allow for a little waiting time.
The flying season on the Wasserkuppe runs from around the beginning of April to around October. Flight operations take place daily, including Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays (weather permitting). Advance booking is not required; flights will take place as soon as aircraft capacity and a pilot are available.
Redemption for courses:
Flight training on the Wasserkuppe is a very individual matter.
When making an appointment for the trial course, we base our appointments on the participants: the student pilot simply sends us a suggested date and we arrange a course date with them.
Validity:
Our multi-purpose vouchers can be redeemed for their full value; The voucher cannot be redeemed for cash. Status of fees: Billing according to the price list valid at the time of the flight. Additional payment may be required if prices change. Our vouchers are valid for an unlimited period. Please note the requirements for taking part in flights or the trial day.
