16.07.23 - The kickers of the SKG Gersfeld have just had to make their way into the B league - they finished last in the district league A Fulda-Rhön. But the football team was not only impressed by Markus Kurz, the vice-president of the society for the promotion of gliding on the Wasserkuppe, who lives in Gersfeld: by the will, the commitment and the willingness to perform. For this reason, a special thought matured in him, he gave them a special kind of motivational gift: he invited them to two flying days on Hesse's highest mountain.
The Society for the Promotion of Gliding on the Wasserkuppe, together with the flying school, has the task of spreading gliding. Their activities also include paragliding, hang-gliding and model flying. Next year, the flying school will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Reason enough to focus on this anniversary.
"If at the end one or two trainee pilots get stuck with this idea, that's of course also nice," remarks Markus Kurz. And he adds: “We are also pursuing the hybrid model.
